When the library doesn't have quite the right story, generate it
Story credits let a teacher commission a story the library does not have: a Year 4 branching adventure about the Romans with the class's spelling words in it, at the Book Band you choose. Every story goes through the same rules as the library: written and edited to fixed editorial standards, measured for reading level after it is written, quizzed with one CHAMP question per skill mapped to the content domains, illustrated, narrated, and held in your review queue until you approve it. Nothing reaches your class shelf that you have not read. Your school buys credits and allocates them to teachers; there is nothing for a teacher to pay for personally.

A reading area each child can make their own
The reading area is fully adjustable: light, dark and dyslexia-friendly themes, background and text colours, fonts including OpenDyslexic, text sizing, audio speed and read-aloud highlight colours - saved as each child's own theme. Small adjustments open independent reading to more children, including SEND readers.

Reading is free for schools. The School Licence adds the analysis. Home is up to the family. In full: everything you need to run AgentChamp is free, including reading in school hours and every letter home, the levelled library, CHAMP quizzes, Champion Words, audio narration, pupil logins and every class-admin tool. The School Licence adds the class dashboard and Class Trends for every teacher and every class, with your first term free. Story credits, bought by the school and allocated to teachers, commission bespoke stories. Reading at home is up to the family, or a licensed school can fund it with Home Access. Children's reading is never paywalled during school hours.
Reception to Year 6. Phonics Champ covers Reception to Year 2 with decodable, single-path sound-it-out missions from the earliest phonics phases. CHAMP comprehension quizzes start in Year 1, and the branching library runs from Year 2 to Year 6.

No. Every pupil gets a generated username and PIN - no email, no personal sign-up, nothing for children to manage.
The analysis layer for your whole school: the class dashboard and Class Trends, with whole-class CHAMP skill breakdowns, debrief pass rates and words read over time for every teacher and every class. Your first term is on us: every School Licence feature, free until the end of term. After that it is one annual price for the whole school, paid by card or invoice, and it never auto-renews. A licensed school can also fund Home Access for the pupils who need it most.
Your school buys story credits and your school admin allocates them to teachers; there is nothing for a teacher to pay for personally. Pick a year group, a theme and a Book Band, and AgentChamp writes a bespoke branching story with illustrations, audio narration and CHAMP quizzes. A chatbot can write a story. It cannot write a book for your child's reading level, check that it did, quiz them on it, illustrate it, read it aloud and put it on their shelf. That is what you are paying for.

Your school archives pupils or whole classes when they move on. An archived account is kept while a family subscription is live - that is a service the family is paying for, and we review it at every renewal. Once the subscription ends, or if there was never one, the account and its reading data are deleted twelve months later. Every period we hold data for is in the retention schedule below. Nothing is ever sold or used for advertising, before or after.
Yes. Pupil data is stored in Google Cloud's UK data centre (London, europe-west2), is never sold, is never used for advertising, and is never used to train AI. We are registered with the ICO (ZC230270). The privacy policy, data processing agreement, sub-processor inventory, security measures and a DPIA support pack written for your DPO are all published at /compliance - read them before you talk to us, not after.
How long we keep things
We keep children's data for as long as we need it and no longer, and we tell you what that means in days. Billing records are the exception - the law makes us keep those, and the table says so.

A parent or your school can ask us to delete a child's account sooner, and we will. Nothing in this table is ever sold or used for advertising.
